We are Supporting St. John’s Hospice Charity with The Great Waddle of Worcester!

Giving back to the community helps to build a healthy, vibrant society where everyone can thrive. At Linbury Doctors, we believe charity is an essential way to enhance our community’s welfare. It provides us with the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives and help those who are less fortunate. That is why we are proud to be supporting St. Richard’s Hospice with The Great Waddle of Worcester 2024!

About St. Richard’s Hospice

St. Richard’s Hospice is a charity that aims to change the way people view end-of-life care. The charity provides high-quality care and support to patients and their families who are navigating life-limiting illnesses. It is a remarkable organisation that provides a unique service. At Linbury Doctors, we believe that no one deserves to face these challenges alone. That is why we are committed to helping St. Richard’s Hospice continue its good work.

Many volunteers support the charity’s work across Worcestershire, offering everything from transport, to bereavement support, to complementary therapies, and much more.

The Waddle of Worcester!

To this end, we have partnered with The Waddle of Worcester, sponsoring a uniquely designed penguin to be displayed as a part of the art trail across the city centre in Summer 2024!

The penguins will waddle in on Monday 22nd July and will be on display until Sunday 15th September 2024. Following this, the penguins will be auctioned off to raise funds for St. Richard’s Hospice.

The charity has delivered two previous, hugely popular Wild in Art trails; Worcester Stands Tall, in summer 2018, and Worcester’s Big Parade, in summer 2021, which combined raised more than £700,000 for the care of patients and families.

Our sponsorship is helping to provide essential services such as medical care, emotional and psychological support, family support, and bereavement services. We understand that the complexity of these illnesses takes a toll not only on the patients but also on their families. That is why we consider our support critical to the charity’s efforts to make lasting changes in end-of-life care.

Here at Linbury, we believe that our community is only as strong as those who work to make it better. That is why we are proud to support St. Richard’s Hospice, an organisation that is making an enormous difference to patients in Worcestershire. Our contribution and partnership with St. Richard’s Hospice is just the start of what we hope will be a long and fruitful relationship. We would also like to encourage everyone to support the charity in any way possible, either through donations, volunteering, or simply by coming along to Worcester city centre in summer 2024 to see the penguins in all their glory!
